Biz Bites Refresh - The Power of Connection

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for today’s Biz Bites. It was truly energizing to see so many women come together to connect, share ideas, and support one another. The conversations, insights, and sense of collaboration in the room were exactly what Biz Bites and Cape Women in Business are all about.

I am also excited to share some wonderful news as our organization continues to grow. Cape Women in Business is expanding its Board, and we are thrilled to welcome Paula Lyons-Barry, Corey Blake, and Lindsay Chessare as our newest Board members. We are also happy to welcome Cara Cipullo to our Marketing Committee. Each of these women brings valuable experience, perspective, and passion, and we are grateful for their willingness to step into leadership and service.

Big things are ahead for CWB, and that growth is fueled by the women who show up, engage, and raise their hands to help. If you are interested in getting involved through volunteering, committee work, or future leadership opportunities, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out to me directly by email at cwbconnects@gmail.com.

Thank you again for being part of today’s conversation and for helping make this such a welcoming and collaborative community. I look forward to staying connected and continuing to build together.

Warm regards, Jenn Brann

Did You Know?

Biz Bites is intentionally designed so you can stay fully present during the conversation. After each session, attendees receive a thoughtful recap along with a complete contact list of everyone who participated, including clickable links for easy follow up. There is no need to worry about taking notes or managing chats. Simply show up, engage, and continue building meaningful connections after the event.

Refresh:

The conversation opened with members connecting around shared experiences and the power of working together. Many spoke about how thoughtful collaborations have led to new opportunities, meaningful business growth, and genuine friendships, while easing competition and creating stronger alignment.

These reflections highlighted how collaboration can reduce stress, build trust, and create momentum that is hard to achieve alone. When we choose alignment over competition, we open the door to deeper connections and more meaningful personal and professional growth.

Unleash Your Confidence Workshop Series Launch

We are excited to introduce a new three-part workshop series led by Kai Childs of EforAll, focused on building practical, usable confidence. The series covers self-efficacy, the imposter phenomenon, and public speaking confidence, with the first session on February 23 at CapeSpace in Hyannis.

Sessions are $20 each, or save with a $50 bundle for all three. Participants will gain actionable tools and strategies to strengthen self-efficacy and tackle real challenges in both business and everyday life.

Trail Talk Survey

A big thank you to Riina Chaplow of Healing is Allowed for taking the lead on organizing our walking survey and helping us better understand what our community is looking for. We are inviting members and supporters to take a few minutes to respond so we can accurately gauge when, where, and how to schedule our next walks. Your input will directly shape future Walk and Talk events, ensuring they fit your schedule, preferred locations, and level of activity. If you have not yet completed the survey, now is the perfect time to make your voice heard.

Guest Spotlight: Alicia Conlin

We are excited to spotlight Alicia Conlin, Executive Director of WellStrong, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening emotional well-being and resilience for individuals, families, and communities across Cape Cod. Through education, prevention, and support-based programming, WellStrong works to build skills that help people navigate life’s challenges and grow stronger together. Learn more about their impactful work at www.wellstrong.org.

In addition to her role at WellStrong, Alicia serves as a Board Member for Leadership Cape Cod, further demonstrating her commitment to leadership, collaboration, and community well-being. Cape Women in Business recently had the opportunity to collaborate with this organization, and we are grateful for the shared mission and meaningful connections that came from working together.

We are also excited to continue the collaboration at the upcoming Morning Mingle, on Thursday, February 26, from 7:30 to 9:00 am at Cape Roots in Harwichport. Join us for coffee, connection, and conversation as we bring people together to build community and support one another. We look forward to seeing you there.
