Biz Bites Recap - Influential Women

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our March Biz Bites. It was an inspiring and informative conversation featuring Shelly Gillis and Lisa Gonzalez-Welch from the U.S. Small Business Administration, who shared valuable resources available to support small businesses across Massachusetts.

From access to capital and federal contracting opportunities to technical assistance and disaster relief resources, attendees gained insight into the many ways the SBA helps entrepreneurs start, grow, and scale their businesses.

We are also excited to share that Cape Women in Business now has an office at CapeSpace in Hyannis, a wonderful co-working space that provides a welcoming environment for meetings, collaboration, and future events. If you are in the area and would like to check it out, please let us know.

Last month we also announced several new members of our Board of Directors, and the board met last week to begin strategic planning and forming committees as we continue to grow the organization.

Interested in getting more involved? We would love to hear from you. Please email us at cwbconnects@gmail.com or connect with any of our board members to share your interest in supporting the continued growth of our community. ✨

Warm regards, Jenn Brann

This Month’s Theme:  Celebrating Women’s History Month (Surprised?)

In honor of Women’s History Month, we invited attendees to reflect on the women who have influenced and inspired them along their journey. The responses were heartfelt and powerful. Many members shared stories about their mothers and grandmothers who shaped their values, resilience, and work ethic, while others highlighted mentors, colleagues, and clients who continue to inspire their growth as leaders and entrepreneurs. It was a beautiful reminder of how deeply women impact one another through support, guidance, and collaboration.

Guest Speakers Spotlight

A special thank you to our guest speakers Shelly Gillis and Lisa Gonzalez-Welchfrom the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for joining us and sharing valuable insights into the many resources available to small businesses in Massachusetts.
