Biz Bites Refresh - Reflection, Renewal & Meaningful Connection

Today’s Biz Bites: Refresh was one of our most energizing and meaningful sessions yet. From the moment everyone logged in, the room was filled with openness, thoughtful conversation, and a shared desire to pause, reset, and move forward with intention. The energy was grounded yet inspiring, exactly what a “refresh” should feel like.

As we begin the new year, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Cape Women in Business is entering a season of growth and renewal. Today’s conversation beautifully reflected the power of this community when we slow down, reconnect, and realign together.

Refresh:

We kicked things off with introductions and a thoughtful conversation centered on refreshing how we show up, both in our work and in our lives. Members shared intentional shifts they’re making this year, including:

  • Creating more space for focused, intentional work

  • Being more present and less reactive

  • Setting clearer boundaries and learning to say no without guilt

  • Letting go of commitments that no longer align

  • Prioritizing energy, clarity, and balance

This exchange served as a powerful reminder that refresh doesn’t always mean adding something new, sometimes it’s about pausing, realigning, and choosing what truly matters. By honoring our values, energy, and capacity, we create room for more meaningful personal and professional growth.

Guest Spotlight: Kai Childs

Our guest speaker, Kai Childs, Senior Director of Programs for EforAll, led a thoughtful and energizing conversation focused on renewal, perspective, and intentional growth. Kai also provided an overview of the EforAll program, sharing exciting news about its expansion. In 2026, EforAll will be going national, and Cape Cod has secured 16 dedicated seats for local entrepreneurs. Kai encouraged anyone considering starting or growing a business to explore the program and submit an application, highlighting it as a powerful resource for support, skill-building, and community. More information can be found here: https://eforall.org/business-accelerator-program/

Kai will also be returning to share a three-part series beginning in February at CapeSpace in Hyannis, offering deeper dives into confidence, leadership, and presence:

  1. Building Self-Efficacy: Self-Esteem’s More Pragmatic Older SiblingHow to make believing in yourself believable.

  2. Cultivate Your Heroic Secret Identity: A Practical Guide for Entrepreneurs & LeadersStrategies for overcoming imposter phenomenon and tapping into your own heroic potential.

  3. Presentation Skills: Developing Unshakeable CourageBecause sometimes imagining your whole audience naked is just awkward.

We’re grateful to Kai for sharing both insight and opportunity, and we look forward to continuing the conversation in the months ahead. Event details are being finalized and will be shared shortly. We encourage you to stay tuned and join us for this impactful opportunity.
